“Athens Key Hotel” is one of existing buildings in central Athens that is re-opening as a hotel after a complete refurbishment. Located in the historical, commercial and entertainment heart of the city, is the absolute urban destination.
The 9-storey building has a ground-floor portico and a characteristic exterior cladding of red travertine which was preserved during the redesign process.
The design concept aimed to highlight the limited available public spaces by introducing elements of urban luxury and making use of height, ceiling configuration and bespoke lighting. A new design style was adopted with references to art deco and the classical aesthetics of the Athenian residence.
