The main objective of the conceptual design was to propose a structure which will not only serve its educational and scientific purposes, but will also respect the environment and the philosophy of the school. It was considered essential to design a structure with minimal  environmental impact that will demonstrate and promote sustainable technologies.
The building is energy-efficient through the design of the building envelope, following the principles of bioclimatic architecture for minimizing energy needs, as well as  through the introduction of advanced systems for covering the heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting requirements.
