“CORA Hotel & Spa Resort” is located in the area of Afitos, Chalkidiki, in a privileged site that offers an unobstructed view of the sea. Built at the end of the 80s, the existing complex had an 'earthy' architecture, incorporating elements with references of traditional forms.

Basic criteria and objectives for the redesign of the hotel complex were respecting the architectural identity of the existing buildings, while meeting the standards of accessibility and safety for all categories of users.

The main design choices were making the most of the plot amphitheatric organization oriented towards the sea, replenishing a direct relationship with new elements of water and opening up the interior spaces to the exceptional view and natural light.

The color identity of both public and private areas of Cora Hotel & Spa Resort emerges through the colors of the place. Light earthy tones refer to the characteristic local stone, fabrics reminiscent of traditional Macedonian textiles, natural materials such as reeds, light wood and rough tiles with a stone texture compose an atmosphere that is unpretentious and intimate but at the same time impressive and unforgettable.
